art and life

usually, i can't stand the over priced, cliche wall art at urban outfitters, but this one print caught my eye.

Sonya Suhariyan is the artist, and i was able to find other works of hers online. but when i looked up other artist named on urbanoutfitters.com, it was like they didn't exist. STRANGE

and i found this one randomly, but i really like when people paint on random objects, like cardboard here. i've tried, but my skills aren't this great.

i made a shirt for my friend's band husband and wife [new name pending]. followers have expressed they would want their own, so if all members agree, i'll work on a way to duplicate it.

L-R: colewearsglasses, jillwearsdresses, alysausedtowearloafers, kylewearsbeards. their music is superb.

the photo shoot i did with my friend came out really well. i was so nervous as i haven't really photographed with my SLR in almost a year. even halfway through i noticed that it was set on a really fast shutter speed, so i was afraid they would all come out dark. luckily 35/36 frames were usable!

and yes, that's an old church couch ;)

almost lastly, life. never-before-seen videos of why i love my friends.

FINALLY, for extra credit in my human sexuality class, kareem and i volunteered with a group to gather info about breast cancer. i said i could help decorate the board, and i want design it INTENSELY. i'm planning out so many different ideas to make it grab people's attention, including those rip-off phone number things, but times 20. i'll post a picture when it's done.

YOU AND KAREEM MUST COME SEE MY DANCE CONCERT IN DECEMBER. One of the routines is a jazz combo to Womanizer that I know he'll enjoy.

Laura, that is MY GRANDMA'S (tommy castle's great-grandma) OLD COUCH! You don't remember her, but your mom will. ..Urma Molden, the most amazing Christian woman ever...I always loved peeking into the dungeon and seeing it still there, like she was sort of watching over Tommy in youth group, the great-grandson she never got to meet. Hey, we could write a book about the couch...
